Overview

The Emma is a fictional ship created by H. P. Lovecraft, which makes its only appearance in the 1928 short story "The Call of Cthulhu". It is a two-masted schooner which originated in Auburn, New Zealand, and is manned by eleven crew members. These are Captain Collins, First Mate Green, Second Mate Gustaf Johansen, William Briden, Rodriguez, Donovan, Hawkins, Guerrera, Angstrom, Parker and one unnamed man. The Emma was damaged and presumably sunk in the aftermath of an encounter with an armored steam yacht, the Alert, manned by Cthulhu cultists.
